Geneva:

The World Health Organization states the U.S. has Covid-19 although it can not be considered the epidemic’s peak at the moment. Experts of the organization said that the Covid-19 epidemic level in the US states is not high.

Nevertheless, death in certain parts of America will occur because of epidemics. Michael Ryan, executive director of the WHO Health Emergency Program, said, “I categorize it in the general category, given the situation in America, and there are cases of infection in Central and Latin America, but it is still in the general category.”

This can not be considered an epidemic’s height. He said this on Wednesday, at a press conference in Geneva. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that by next week the number of people infected with the coronavirus in the world could go up to 10 million. The WHO also claims the UK’s research program is capable of correctly assessing patients in this case.

He said that Latin America has emerged as the new center of the world in the case of coronavirus infection where the death toll is crossing one lakh whereas in Brazil 54 thousand people have died. Johns Hopkins University has published the figure.

There are more than 2.3 million incidents of tuberculosis in the United States worldwide. The United States also has the highest share of deaths due to the epidemic, which has exceeded one lakh of 21 thousand.

Dr. Ryan explained that an epidemic is still a common form in the US. During the last week, there has been an increase of 25% to 50% in infection cases. This shows that in many countries the epidemic is not at its peak and communal transmission still exists.
