British Queen Elizabeth called her grandson Duke of Sussex Harry for a meeting after Harry and Meghan Markle announced financial independence from the British royal family. They decided to step back for a while from Royal duties. The royal family will conduct an emergency conference to address Prince Harry and Meghan on Monday to things work out.
The source said that Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry will attend the conference at Queen’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, northwest England. Meghan, Sussex’s Duchess, is expected to call into Canada’s meeting.
This will be the very first time the high ranking royals have got to know since Harry and Meghan released — in defiance of the Queen’s wishes — that they will step back from their royal duties, seek financial freedom, and share their time in Britain and North America.
A clear strategy is likely to be widely approved and publicly announced sometime in the coming week, with details left to be negotiated over time. A few of the concerns to be addressed in the coalition talks would include how much “official” royal work Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, will do in the UK and abroad on behalf of the monarchy and the government.
Analysts believe the couple are unlikely to fight for money and could generate revenue from a UK trademark for their ‘ Sussex Royal ‘ brand, which they applied for in June, as well as sponsorship or speaking tours. Sources say that Charles will withhold support from the pair if they completely disengage from their royal duties.
