The third Ashes Test against England starts on August 22 in Headingley, Leeds. In the first two innings of the match, England and Australia have lost 16 batsmen for a one-run single. This is the second time since 1976 that the 16 batsmen have been dismissed for a one-run single in the first two innings of a Test match. Earlier, in the first two innings of the West Indies Test against England at Manchester in 1976, 9 batsmen from England and seven from the West Indies were dismissed for 16 runs.
After that, England and Australia have now lost 9 of England in the first two innings in the third Ashes Test in Leeds and seven of Australia’s 16 batsmen have been dismissed for one run. The first batsman to bat in this match is 179 runs in the first innings and England are down 67 runs in their first innings.
