Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has died. He breathed his last on Wednesday morning at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. He was treated there for colon inflammation over a week earlier and then transferred to ICU.
Irfan Khan went to London of Hospital to battle neuroendocrine tumors in March 2018. He remained there for around a year, and after treatment, he returned to India in April 2019. After his return, he started shooting for his film ‘English Medium’ in Rajasthan and then moved to London for further schedules, where he also kept in touch with doctors.
He has regularly visited London since then, to meet with physicians. For the last month and a half, the lockout was announced, though, so all foreign flights are now canceled. But they had not been ready to move out of Mumbai.
Irrfan Khan was last seen in ‘English Medium’ published on March 13. However, due to the lockdown, the film ran in theaters for only two days. Irfan left an emotional message on YouTube for fans before the film’s trailer release.
He had said, “Hello brothers and sisters, Namaskar. I am Irfan. I am with you today or not. Well, this film ‘English Medium’ is very special for me.
True … Believe me, my heartfelt desire was to promote this film with as much love as we have made with love. Yet inside my body are certain unwelcome visitors. They are having a conversation. Let’s see which side camel sits. As it happens, you will be informed. “
