Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Saudi Arabia on a two-day visit. On Tuesday, PM Modi met several leaders. He also met King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and other leaders from Saudi Arabia. He met King Abdullah II of Jordan earlier Tuesday morning.
There was a discussion between PM Modi and the King of Jordan on trade and investment, human resource development and deepening people-to-people relations. The meeting took place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the Summit of the Future Investment Initiative.
Saudi Arabia’s much-publicized three-day global financial conference began here on Tuesday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders of several other countries taking part.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar tweeted that the two leaders exchanged views on working together to strengthen various sectors, particularly trade and investment, human resource development and public relations.
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York last month. The two leaders first met during the 2015 UNGA. Both Modi and the Shah of Jordan will address the financial conference.
Several heads of government, industrialists and global financial institutions will participate in the Future Investment Initiative Forum. The conference will discuss global trade and its trends, as well as the opportunities and risks of global investment scenarios over the coming decades.
