Delhi:

Many sports personas have been a huge help in making the PM-CARES Fund a success. It shows that we can come over anything when we all work together.

Modi Ji on his tweeter handle posted “I am very happy that our hardworking sportspersons are at the forefront of the battle to defeat COVID-19. I would like to thank @sharad_kumar01, @ImRo45, @singhesha10, @M_Raj03 for their contribution to PM-CARES. #IndiaFightsCorona.”

The fund portal was created on March 28 and has been blossoming ever since many actors, cricketers and YouTubers have acted towards this and raised awareness for the same cause.

Yesterday PM decided to show and express his gratitude towards these amazing people. They not only encouraged others to aid in these difficult times but also came forward first to help.

Sharad Kumar, Rohit Sharma, National Champion Esha Singh had contributed their bit for the cause and became an inspiration for others to help.

Even women have come forward in times of need. Indian women’s cricketer Mithali Raj donated a sum of Rs 10 lakh to fight against novel coronavirus also the T20 player and World cup star donated Rs 2 lakh. The sports sector has been a huge aid ever since they came forward to help.

Also, on behalf of WFI, president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has decided to donate Rs 11 lakh for PM-CARES Fund.
