India scored a penalty corner in the seventh minute but could not score a goal. Skipper Harmanpreet opened the account in the seventh minute with a goal on a rebounded corner.
Shamsher Singh doubled the lead with a goal in the 18th minute. Then in the next ten minutes, three goals were scored immediately.
