India has been appointed to three key United Nations Food Program economic and social committees. For the past three years, India has been a member of the United Nations Entity for Equality, which promotes gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The term will begin on January 1, 2022. India has also been appointed to the World Food Program’s Executive Board. It also includes France, Ghana, Korea, Russia, and Sweden. It should be noted that India has already been appointed to three main UN Security Council committees.
These include the Taliban Section Committee, the Libyan Section Committee, and the Anti-Terrorism Committee. India began its eighth term as a provisional member of the United Nations Security Council this year.
