Thousands of migrant workers gathered outside Mumbai’s Bandra station to protest against the extension of the lockdown, most demanded that they are allowed to go home.
The police said that the lathi charge was used when the crowd ignored several warnings to disperse.

US President, Donald Trump said that the WHO filled in its basic duty and it must be held accountable therefore has instructed his administration to halt funding with the World Health Organization.
US is the WHO’s biggest single donor providing 400 million dollars last year which was just under 15% of its total budget.

Barack Obama endorsed his former vice president Joe Biden for president and said that Joe has the character and the experience that will guide the US through one of its darkest times and heal it through a long recovery.

US President Donald Trump kickstarted in the debate on his authority to reopen the US by saying when somebody is the president of the United States the authority is total.
The governor of New York Andrew Cuomo replied “I don’t know what the president is talking about we have a constitution. We don’t have a King.”

French President Emmanuel Macro extended the coronavirus lockdown by another month.
He said France would start returning to normal life on 11th May if citizens were civic, responsible and respected the rules and if the number of cases continued to drop.
