The Indian football team, The Blue Tigers, has agreed to enter the fight against the novel coronavirus. They have decided to come forward to lend a helping hand by contributing to the social cause.

The defender Pritam Kotal expresses that as Indian it is his duty and responsibility to help out in any social causes the way he can. He donated Rs 50,000 to West Bengal’s fund. Other team members have also figured out a way to help in their own manner.

Halder has decided to help by taking responsibility for providing food to some underprivileged kids who earn their bread on a daily basis. He wore the captains’ band in the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019.

He mentioned that the situation right now is tough I am helping by providing food for the poor families to help them survive through the crisis. He also donated about RS 20,000 to the relief fund.

A fellow mate named Prabhir Das also joined the fray by donating RS 50,000. Arindam Bhattacharjee also donated Rs 25,000 to the fund.

Recently the Blue Tigers along with the IFA and Income Tax Recreation Club had come forward to help late footballer Radhakrishnan Dhanarajan’s family.

Meanwhile, the legend Sachin Tendulkar donated Rs 50 lakh to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Rohit Sharma, vice-captain of the Indian national team in limited-overs formats decides to support the fight against novel coronavirus donates a sum of Rs 80 lakhs making him the highest contributor Indian cricketer as far known.
