Delhi:

The total number of cases of COVID-19 in the country has risen to 1071 cases and has taken 29 lives. While Delhi continues to face the problem, Kerala has been affected in the worst way possible as the state reports 194 cases and 1 death.

According to the health and welfare ministry, a total of 100 people has recovered and survived. At the moment there are over 900 active cases. After Kerala, the state of Maharashtra has been hit hard as 194 active cases of novel coronavirus have been reported.

India has been under the 3-week nationwide lockdown to stop the spread of the virus. There had been rumors floating around that the government will extend the lockdown after it has completed the 3-week tenure.

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) tweeted that the Cabinet Secretary has denied the claims of extension of lockdown as they were baseless. This virus has killed more than 33,000 and has affected more than 7,21,000 people worldwide.

The U.S. has most confirmed cases worldwide over 1,39,700 with 2,400 deaths. Admission of limited community transmission came through a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which was released on Saturday for emergency medical relief. However, today the joint secretary Lav Aggarwal said that term SOP was used only to highlight governments’ ‘action on field’.
