Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and director R Balki filmed today for an ad authorized by the government to build knowledge regarding post-lockdown obligations. The shooting took place at the studio in Kamalistan, Mumbai.

Akshay and Balki, who previously worked on Project Mangal and Padman, became the country’s first film personalities to shoot outside their home after the nationwide lockout on March 25, caused by a coronavirus.

R Balki reported to the news agency that the minimum crew was involved in the film, and the squad adopted social distancing laws.

This is an ad for the Ministry of Health on our obligations for post-lockdown. We need to get back to work but we need to ensure our security and that of others. So, at our shoot, we did the same,” the director said.

He added, “With social distancing, sanitized outdoor set, disinfectant screen, masks and more, we got used to the shooting with precautions in a few minutes. We found we can do it quite easily, despite minimal crew and very strict protocols.
